About Philipp M. Kratzer - Concert & Festival Photographer

I'm a thirty-one-year-old concert and festival photographer based in Munich.

Since being a kid, my passion has been photography and trying to capture the world and my surroundings from a different angle.

As I'm really in love with music and the people who come with it, I can't think of a better combination than photography and live music.

This is what I love to do: capturing moments that are intensely personal or shared with thousands of people at once, and putting a smile on people's faces when they relive those moments or share the experience with others who couldn't make it.

Twelve years in, that has taken me to festival main stages and arena tours across Germany, Austria and the rest of Europe, working with internationally touring artists and bands as well as several of Europe's largest festival organisers and promoters. Along the way I've shot everything from stadium shows and multi-day festivals down to small club gigs, and I still enjoy the small shows just as much as the big ones - the energy is different every time, and that variety is part of what keeps this job interesting after twelve years.
